“If you want to know where your hear it, look where your mind goes when it wanders.”

This book is also one my best discoveries this year. There are two sides of this book; one’s that light and fun, full of flirty romance, and one that is dark. It was fun at first, until their dark past comes back into their lives.
It all started when Chase overheard Reese as she left a message on the phone to her friend Jules about how boring her date is. Chase (and his date) ended up joining Reese (and her date) for the rest of the evening, with Chase making up elaborate stories of their childhood (they gave their dates an impression that they were high school sweethearts). They met again at the gym, this time they were non-blood related cousins, and at Chase’ company (there’s a pretty good history on the company, if I may add). So to cut the long story short, Reese worked for Chase, Chase has been “brutally” honest that he wants Reese to sleep with him, Reese won’t have it, but in the end, fell for him anyway.

Reese is a strong woman. She was able to resist Chase for quite some time, she could handle things on her own, and when things get ugly, she did her best to fight for what she feels.
Chase is described as “always easy on the eyes and a little arrogant because of his brains”. He was adamant in seducing Reese, although I have to say, when things got worse, I wanted to kick his butt. (Not going to spoil this amazing book)
I rate this book 5 stars!
I love a good romantic comedy but with a dark twist. I love how the characters were consistent on their actions, how their relationship developed from lust to love, and how they, slowly, find their way back in the end. :)
