Parker and Ben were best of friends, they were even housemates, until Parker got dumped by his boyfriend Lance and she decided to be like Ben. Can’t find a decent guy to sleep with, she entered into an agreement with Ben to move their status from best friends to best friends with benefits. It was fun at first, everything was easy and felt like nothing has change, but who are we kidding, right?
“This book will make you want to have a best friend like Ben, and fall in love with him. "
The caption is from my Instagram account and I stand by it. Ben is the type of guy that makes everything easy. On the other hand, he is also struggling with his own personal issues. As one nosy co-worker said, Ben has inferiority complex.
Parker seems like a great girl, though she made some bad decisions, her giving it a try with Ben is probably the best thing she ever did. Unfortunately she seems oblivious with how her words affect Ben, and she’s too blind to see that everything she needs is just right in front of her.

My thoughts on this book?
Definitely love two-thirds of this book, the way things were before the Ex came back into Parker’s life (Sorry!). What I mean is, when they first stepped out of the bestfriend-zone both of them are already thinking that they “should’ve done it years ago” and I agree. Everything was good, it was smooth sailing, until the night that they did not just have sex – they made love. Intimacy was there. It felt like they were both holding on to who they think they were before so badly that they fail to see who they can be together. Parker thinks Ben only sees her as a best friend, while Ben thinks Parker never sees him as a boyfriend material. The entire one-third of the book fell into that sentence until (Finally!) they were able to sit down and really talk.
I love the book, I do, though I kind of not like the part where they were apart and kept on messing up with their lives. Overall, I rate this book 4 out of 5. I will still recommend this to my friends so that they’ll fall in love with a guy like Ben too (See Parker; even I know how great boyfriend he will be! Just kidding!)
