Say You'll Stay

This story is about two childhood sweethearts separated by misunderstanding, until a tragedy brought her back to their hometown, where everyone are still expecting them to be together.

The book started with a shocking even that turned Presley’s “perfect” marital life around. Everything that she thought she had, she lost it. With her kids in tow, she went back to her hometown and tried hard to avoid the same man who is the main reason she hasn’t return home in years. But they live in a small country town, where everyone knew everyone and everything, and seemed like they still think they’ll end up together.

Presley is a strong woman who seemed to have gotten herself in a web full of lies. I know that sounds awful, but she did kept a lot of secrets, and though she has her reasons, I (personally) think that there were some secrets she should’ve told or shared with the people involved - it would’ve prevented the other dramas that came after.

Zach is a typical country boy with big dreams. True, he made a rushed decision, but he was adamant in making sure that Presley is happy, regardless of his feelings. He was selfless and forgiving; he’s the type of man that when he love someone, he stick to her, through thick and thin.

I’m going to give this book 4 out of 5. I love the plot and all the characters; it was beautifully written. I just feel like there was something missing, or maybe the opposite, with Presley’s character; I just find it hard to really connect with her unlike the other books written by Corinne Michaels. (Sorry Corinne; it’s not you, it’s me). Still a good book, and will definitely recommend it to my friends.
