IDOL

So this story has good points and bad points and overall, I will rate it 3 out of 5. It’s the typical rockstar meets shy girl with hidden talent plot, falls for her, pushes her to reveal her talent, then career gets in the way.

I love the first chapters – how they met, their earlier convos, and the tension – it seems raw, real. Libby (Liberty Bell) hated Killian at first sight, and Killian was at his worst that day too. But, of course, Killian can’t stay away, so they become close, then you know.

The last chapters however seemed – rushed (my opinion). It seems like since everything seems to be going so well they just have to have a problem and a solution and they live happily ever after. Maybe there was too much focus on building the friendship or relationship that the lover’s quarrel (the biggest problem) came at the last few chapters already, which made it seemed rush (again, personal opinion).

Libby’s character is ok. At the first part of the book she was feisty and smartass and I love that about her. When she was ‘forced’ to come out of her shell she was hesitant, very unlikely of what she was on the first part, but I still think it was fine, since it just makes her real.

Killian is hot and daring, though at last few chapters I do want to knock his head because of his actions.

So, that’s my opinion. I was happy with the first part of the book –I actually love it, but my enthusiasm kinda went down on the last few chapters. The plot is typical, something I’ve read before, but, (Wow, I feel like I’m just talking in circles, lol) the introduction (how they met, those stuffs) is unique, fresh, and nice to read. Also the part when there’s the building of tension – like yeah, I feel you Libby (lol). But the ending … well… Anyways, that’s it for me. :)
