Mmm.
This is awkward.
Personally, I wasn’t satisfied with the second book. I set a high standard based on the level of excitement and satisfaction I felt when (and after) I read Rock Chick 1, which wasn’t met on Rock Chick 2.
Maybe some of you love both books, maybe some prefer this book over the first one, but for me, I like the first book than this.
I know Eddie is hot. I met him on the first book and I knew he liked Indy before. I like his character – a Mexican American guy in uniform which is a perfect combination of sweet and sexy. And when he called to tell Jet that he “branded” her? Wow; that was sexy.
It was Jet’s character that I don’t really (for the lack of better term) like. There’s stubborn, there’s feisty, and there’s annoying. Sorry fans of this book – Jet (FOR ME) falls under annoying. Like, duh, girl, everything every girl ever wanted is being handed to you in a silver platter by a hot Mexican American guy in a uniform with abs and a house and is super sweet with words – what is your problem?
Seriously; when she moved out of Eddie’s house, I was cheering for Eddie to find another girl (which is not possible since it is THEIR story).
Anyway, that’s it. This may be my shortest review ever, but I don’t really find something worth remembering on the book, aside from Eddie buying a coffeemaker with Jet which seems like a big deal to everybody who knew Eddie except Jet.
3 out of 5 stars for me.
