Rock Chick 5 – Revenge

The fifth book has its ups and downs.

I thought I made a mistake doing a marathon reading all books from the Rock Chick Series because it was all angst from the girls who don’t want to be controlled or don’t think that they’re good enough blahblahblah but towards the end it was actually nice.

On my last review (Rock Chick 4) I mentioned that I find Luke a bit of a player because he had a little something with Roxie and with Jules while they were “on a break” with their man. Well, that one sure did backfire at him when Ava found out about what he did (or more likely what didn’t happen).

Ava got self-esteem issues as well, and at the middle part of the story I almost didn’t finish it (The part when she’s convinced that Luke didn’t really like him and that he’s picturing someone whenever they do the deed – so not cool). But things got out of hand when one of his ex-boyfriend went after her (Oh, you know, just the usual kidnap scene, happens all the time).

So I’m going to rate this book 4 out of 5. It was a 4, then it went to 2 (seriously, I almost stopped reading and was about to write my review already), then went back to 4 after the drama (sort of) ceased and Ava was kidnapped and they found her and everyone started to look for the bad guy.

Don’t get me wrong, I love reading drama, I mean, that is what romantic novels are made of, but sometimes, too much drama is nauseating. I’m glad I finished the book though. It was like watching a movie then the middle’s part is so boring you almost dozed off but then there were guns and action and everything’s back to being interesting. 4 stars for me.
