I was looking for a book to read yesterday, and one of the recommended books on my Goodreads account is Stuck-Up Suit by Vi Keeland. I actually felt ashamed when I read what Soraya did after returning Graham’s phone (synopsis). I don’t usually connect with heroines that have strong or angsty attitude but since I enjoyed my first Vi Keeland book Bossman, I decided to read this anyway.

Soraya may be a bit liberated but she’s not that bad, especially when Graham found out that he has a child with his ex. She was actually compassionate and caring, with a tendency to overthink and overanalyze. But when she’s with Graham, she gives her all, bitchy ex aside.

As for Graham, well, I can imagine a hot man in a suit barking orders and act like he owns the world. But his other side, the flirty, needy I-need-you-in-my-bed-right-now side, let’s just say if I meet a man like that I wouldn’t know if I’ll be turned on like Soraya, or I’ll be running in the opposite direction. Yes, he is hot, dangerously sexy, but can anyone handle THAT kind of dangerously sexy? Anyway, I love their banters; it was hilarious and sexy at the same time.

For the plot, I haven’t read anything like it before. Not once did I came across a heroine who would send suggestive photos to a person she hates, or would ask for 2 test dates first before actually saying yes to being exclusive. Also, that scene when Graham was drunk and the ex-fiancé tried to seduce him? I was expecting something would happen so the ex has something to gloat to Soraya.

The pace on how they fell in love is sort of realistic (for me). I mean, what else could two persons who are crazy with each other do when they said they won’t do each other than to talk? And of course talking means getting to know each other more, sharing more secrets, becoming vulnerable then boom! Love.

The ending didn’t show how Chloe was allowed to be with Soraya even without the Ex but that is fine for me; I don’t need to read more about her anyway. I love how they both came into conclusion and did not do any permanent damaged to their relationship (like Graham accidentally sleeping with the Ex, I don’t think Soraya will be able to get past that). In the end, Soraya realized that there’s more to family than how we all picture a perfect family, and everyone can be happy despite the home setup.

5 stars.
