Before anything else, I read Worth the Fight after reading Stuck-Up Suit. I loved Stuck-Up Suit, saw Worth the Fight on recommended list, decided that since I loved Bossman (another work of Vi Keeland) and Stuck-Up Suit, I’m going to love this book too. Here are my thoughts first before I give my rating.

I like the characters. Elle is a strong woman with a past but aside from that, everything seems to be going well for her. Despite a job she loves and dating a decent guy, she’s bored. Enter Nico, an MMA fighter on a break because of a deadly win. Nico may be sweet at times, but when his past haunts him, he tends to shut people out.
The plot is ok – two opposites who are into each other, though I can’t help but compare the intensity of attraction to that on Stuck-Up Suit and Bossman. Also I was expecting a very big case that could destroy them, with court room hearings and all that, but the bomb in the story is when Nico has to fight the brother of the man who was accidentally killed during their fight.
The pacing – well, I don’t see the initial spark between Nico and Elle. Yes, Elle described Nico as a dangerously hot guy she can’t keep her eyes off, and the next thing I know Nico wants Elle to be his. I don’t know; their first meeting made me think that only Nico made an impression with Elle, I don’t see or feel any spark. Truth be told, some parts in the middle is boring (for me).
The ending is fine. Elle made sure that Nico will get the closure that he deserves, and Nico took a step forward to be better.
I like the characters (I really do!) and the plot, but I don’t think the book lived up to my expectation, especially after reading Bossman and Stuck-Up Suit.
So, as per my ratings review guide, I’ll be giving this book 2 stars – I’m not sure this book is my type.
