Smut

I thought I wouldn’t like this book because after they passed their project and went on separate ways (for a time), I realized the book isn’t finished yet; and I’m just halfway through the book and my eyes are already sore from reading. It’s like I already read an entire book, which is a very good book by the way, and here comes Part 2 without a pause or a break (or maybe it’s just me; I read and finish a book in just one sitting). But, this book, though verrry long, is amazing!

I can relate easily with Amanda (such a dork), except the puke thing with the boyfriend. Her character is real, it’s like reading me and my thoughts and actions, and what I like the most is that, with Blake, she lets her guard down. It took a while, but when the two really got to know each other, she didn’t hesitate. And when Blake spilled their secret, yes she took some time off, which is understandable given her family’s situation, but she did not give him a hard time groveling.

Blake is the type of person I’m hoping to meet. I would love to meet a guy who is not only handsome and sexy, but charming and witty as well, and with good sense of humor.

Like what I mentioned, for me this book has 2 parts.

The first part is getting through their final project. They banter a lot, with Blake always giving suggestive comments, and that email Blake sent? One word - disaster.

The second part is Blake’s novel proposal. I admired Blake for doing everything he can to save his Dad’s book shop, even it meant writing erotica novels. Are there erotica novels written by men? Just asking.

Anyway when they get to their grove (and that’s before the library incident), you can see their chemistry. True, Blake is still making suggestive comments, but Amanda can be feisty (in a cute dork way) when she wants to. And going back to the library incident – wow. That was hot. I’m a fan of libraries, but I don’t know if I could handle THAT. And them being chased by the librarian was hilarious.

I love the pacing on this story. It was hate turned to love kind of story. They were 2 opposite people, yet they are also the same. They took their time to fall; what they had was realistic. And the ending? I love it as well.

Overall, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I’d be rereading and recommending this book for sure!
