Because of Low

Reread November 23, 2016

After rereading this book I can very well say that I am past young adult books and more of new adult books, unless the young adult book is of paranormal category. I’m so excited to read Cage’s story (honestly, he's my only favorite from this series).

Low is a sexy redhead who happened to have a crappy sister, adorable niece, and a best friend who is the biggest player of them all but is hell-bent on marrying her someday.

She knows that he's with a different girl every night, but he is her best friend and she knows that he is the only one who would never leave her. (Yes his name is Cage, and no, this isn't Cage’s story yet)

Marcus is the same guy who worked at Jax’s house (Breathe by Abbi Glines, Sea Breeze 1) who is actually rich; he's also a gentleman but may turn into a spoiled brat any time. Seriously though, I loved Marcus, he's the type of guy you would want to be friends with because you know he won't let you down, unless his Daddy issues get in the way.

The story happened when Low went to Cage’s apartment which he's been sharing with Marcus. Marcus liked Low, Low liked him back, and Cage would always remind Low that Marcus is from a different world. The plot thickens when Low found out that Her sister is with an older man, and Marcus’ parents are getting divorced, and it turns out that Marcus’ dad and Low’s sister are actually having an affair.

At least the twist is unexpected.

Though there is attraction and curiosity at first sight, they didn't fell instantly. It was casual, more like flirting at first, until they were hooked. Not the best pace I've read, but it was fine.

The ending seem rushed; I feel like there could be more groveling or tears or confrontations. Overall, I’d rate this 4 stars; I want to read the parts with Marissa, Low’s niece/Marcus’ half-sister.
