Sometimes It Lasts

Reread: November 27, 2016

I am trying not to be bias about this book. Even before Cage had always been my favorite character; not the rockstar Jax, not the gentleman Marcus, nor the playboy Preston. So when Abbi Glines announced that Cage is gonna have a 2nd book, I was so excited. (And this happened years ago; I am only writing the review right now)

What I did not expect from this book is the death of Eva’s dad. Eva had experienced the sorrow of losing someone you love once and did not need to any more pain. And the pictures of Cage with some girl? I’d be so devastated and broken if it was me.

But what I love about this book is how both Eva and Cage admitted their fault, and later on blame themselves. After Cage’s talk with Low, he realized that he is at fault too, and decided to fight for his love. After Cage’s explanation, Eva decided to give him another chance. There wasn't any excessive groveling or more cheesier lines (though I wouldn't hate it if it came from Cage- they love each other, they knew they both made a mistake, and that's it.

The ending is so sweet, and I can't wait for Bliss’s story. :) Yes, I know it's coming; I saw Abbi’s post earlier this week.

5 Stars.
