Trucker
So this book was a random find on Amazon last Thanksgiving and, as of writing, is still available for free. I don't usually read the blurb so I read books without any idea what it is all about. I was expecting this book to be hot and heavy (because seriously, what do you expect with a cover like that?) but this book is not what I had in mind.
Travis is the sweetest male character I've ever read. I did not expect him to be a virgin at all (Again, blame the cover, lol). But what I like the most is how consistent his character was; after declaring his virginity, and the two of them getting to know each other and falling for each other, I though they will do the deed immediately (or at least when they are official), but no, they waited for the right time. And, it was Travis who said to take it slow (surprise, surprise!)
Angel is fearless; she went to search her mom even when all she's got is a photo that was sent before, eating and taking a bath whenever she can. She's bubbly and talkative, though a bit gullible, but I do understand Travis’ fascination. She's someone you would like to have as a little sister.
It was fate that brought them together. She said it was her first time to hitchhike, and Travis was at the right place at the right time.
The pace of the story and how they fell in love is fine. They took their time to get to know each other; of course, there were times that they were lusting each other, but that's understandable. It was realistic, not too cheesy falling in love with pace, and they even waited to do the deed, so they were really building into the relationship.
The ending is sweet. Again, Travis was in the right place at the right time, and everything just fell into place.
Overall, this book deserves 5 stars.
