This book was free last Thanksgiving so I decided to buy it out of curiosity.
After reading the first chapter I went back to Goodreads to read the blurb because everything was so confusing to me. I am really sorry for this review.
Characters
I don't know how to rate the characters. It's a whiplash every time the POV changes; maybe I just can't keep up with the transition from one character to another, but I just don't like the narration on the book.
Plot
The plot is kinda ok; I did expect the hero’s situation, but overall, it was a good plot.
Pace
The pace is where I have a problem. Not only it's confusing when the POV changes, but when they two of them got back together, it seems unrealistic. Don’t get me wrong; I love second chances book as well, as long as it doesn't seemed rushed or forced just to say that the “love never died”. However, this book got one too many vulnerable moments, moments when they characters are filled with too much emotion that they either walk away or they breakdown, and I don't think it's just my type.
Ending
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish the book. Kindle shows I’m just about 57% of it. I just feel like there's so many things going on in each of the character’s head and there's too many words that I lost interest in finishing it.
Sorry. I really wanted to like the book but I don't think it's my scene.
1 star.
