The Ex Games

So I wasn't sure if I can write a review about this book, because apparently it’s like one big book divided into 3 parts, and I just read the first part, but the first part was a good one, do here are my thoughts.
Characters
Katie’s character was a bit boring during the first part of the book IMO. There were even times when her mind wandered far off that she's out of place in reality, missing the elevator floor, or get snapped at by the secretary.
Brandon, on the other hand, I can't really tell what he's thinking. One moment he can't keep his hands off Katie, the next he's cold and all about excuses and lies. And during the flashbacks, he was so sweet he's making me uncomfortable.
Plot
The story is about two ex’s who saw each other years after their breakup. They broke up after Brandon found out that Katie lied about her age. I admit this is the first time I read a story like this, so there's plus points for fresh ideas.
Pace
To be honest, I don't like the pace of the book, especially when they see each other again. I don't know; I think it's just too weird how they go from being sarcastic to being hot and heavy then back to sarcastic again. I know there's sexual tension, but it just seem unrealistic.
Ending
Well, this is just one part, there are 2 more parts of the story, but the way the book ended is so frustrating it was the best cliffhanger ever.
Overall, 3 stars.
