Booty Call
Booty Call is one of the books that were Free on Amazon and I decided to grab it. At first I was hesitant because it's the second book on the series, but the book cover looks great so I thought I’ll give it a try.
The book is about Alison who got the hots for Scott who happened to be 15 years older. Yes, I know it sounds creepy when you put it that way, but picture Scott as a hot and mature Navy guy who is always wearing a suit. We know how they usually describe SEALs; tall as a tower and muscles all at the right places. Anyway one night she went too far in seducing him, but nothing happened, and the real story began months after that.
Characters
Alison’s character is easy to relate to- an overachiever pre-law student who spends to much time studying and daydreaming about Scott. She wet far and beyond in seducing him, was frustrated until IT actually happened, but underneath everything she's dealing with her own issues.
And Scott- you got to love his will to say no, lol. I know he gets hot and bothered by Alison’s antics but he kept her at arm’s length. Sort of.
Plot (and Pace)
Well I've already talked about the blurb, but to relate it to the pace of the story, it was a beautiful agony. I can feel Alison’s frustration as she tries to win Scott, or at least get him to agree on the one-night stand offer. Like seriously – I get how Alison would be hot and bothered then frustrated because the writing is just so effective and convincing.
The author is brilliant in making the reader feel the characters’ emotions.
Ending
The ending was great; they didn't need that much drama. In fact, this book is more on the fun naughty side which is unique for a dirty novel. Some dirty novels tend to be dark and full of drama so this is refreshing.
