Dirty Billionaire
This is one of the books I've read on my busiest weeks so my review won't be as detailed or lengthy like the ones I used to do before.
Holly is an aspiring singer who is bound by her contract with a talent management to ‘date’ another singer, JC. Because of JC’s latest misconducts which is tainting both of their careers, their management decided that to redeem their reputation, JC should make a public wedding proposal. On New Year’s Eve, the time when JC is going to propose, Holly went to a club where she met Creighton.
Characters
Holly’s character is unpredictable and impulsive. At times I like it, but most often I hated it. She makes rash decision and later let it tore her. Creighton is just like any billionaire created in other books. He usually gets what he wants, and though his character can get arrogant at times, he do have a way with his words. I like Creighton’s character more than Holly’s and if I’m going to rate each character, Holly’s a 2 while Creighton is a 4.
Plot
The plot is not entirely new, we have read a lot of billionaires falling for simple girls and wants to control their worlds, but maybe what sets this apart is how they met and Holly's situation.
Pace
Speaking of how they met, I am not that convinced of their pace. Everything seems rushed, and though that is (what I think) the main point of the story (whirlwind romance), I just don't feel any spark between them. It's like 2 hot people who had a one night stand and wanted a part 2 but complicate things by marriage. It sounds half sweet and romantic and half absurd.
Ending
The books ends in a cliffhanger so it's hard to talk about the ending, but I do want to find out what happened after Holly left.
Overall, I’d give it a 3.
