Characters

Sammy is an ambitious country girl who have always wanted to leave Alabama. It is all she ever dreamed and talked about. She is set on leaving her hometown she failed to see that one of her friends is in love with her. Honestly, that part is all she think about – leaving Alabama. It came to the point where I find it annoying actually.

Hale, on the other hand, is a mystery. I don't know if I like him or if I'm scared of him. At first he was this hot mysterious guy, then I myself have doubts with his intentions, but then he was sweet when he and Sammy went on a date, but the events after that are all so confusing to me. He's intriguing, and one of the reason why I want to read Part 2 is because I need to find out what his intentions are.

Plot

I'm pretty sure there are other books out there where the heroine is a country girl who's tired of the country life and wanted to explore the world. That part of the story felt like it was on a loop, because that is all what the heroine is thinking.

Pace

I have a feeling there are no feelings between the two of them yet. At least not the deep love we all except. Maybe lust or attraction for now. The slowly build up of the tension and the mystery makes this feel less of a romance and more of a suspense.

Ending

The lat few parts were a mystery. I have no idea what to expect on the next book. I really want to find out if Hale is a good guy or a bad guy.

Overall, this book got me hooked and intrigued so 3.5 stars for Once She Dreamed.
