Maybe Someday

Reread: December 25, 2016

This is my favourite CoHo book. I’ve never read a book before that involves a deaf lead character so reading this is new and an eye-opener for me.

Sydney and Ridge developed their friendship when Ridge asked Sydney to write lyrics to the melody that he played. Then Sydney found out that her boyfriend is cheating on her with her friend/roommate Tori, where she’s left homeless and jobless.

I like Sydney’s character. She tried to keep her distance from Ridge, but the chemistry and the attraction can’t be denied. She even avoided him even when Ridge and Maggie broke up.

Ridge’s character is unique. I love how Colleen wrote those words of Ridge; I can almost feel the vibrations that he’s referring. The way Ridge describe music is amazing.

The plot is unique. It was sad at first that Ridge can’t hear, and when he told stories of his childhood, it was all heart-breaking. But his character shows that there are more to life than your flaws, and that you can still be the best you want to be.

I love the pace of the story as well as the ending. I really love this book. 5 stars.
