“But sometime, in the future, our cosmos will align and everything will just fall into place.”
Did I like the book? Yes, I did.
Was it perfect? No, it has both good points and bad points.
Will I read it again? Yes, it’s something I will definitely reread.
Characters
Their characters were interesting, though there were times that they can be annoying. But I guess it’s all part of building the tension, so for the characters, I’m giving it a four.
Plot
Zoey and Drew are roommates. Purely platonic, until one day they began to see each other for the first time. Yes, they have chemistry, and apparently Drew had seen Zoey’s bits already, and one drunken night, something happened. (Spoiler: they didn’t go ALL the way)
For the plot, there wasn’t an event that struck me the most, but I do remember I enjoyed it, so I’ll give it a four.
Pace
There’s a slow buildup of the intimate relationship, which seems realistic for the story. Four points for the pace as well.
Ending
Now the ending, I have mixed feelings about it. At first I was thinking it was sweet, sort of like a mellow way of letting each other go, with no hard feelings and all, and that they’ve understood that the timing was off. Then I thought, was that even possible? Can two people, whose communication cut off for years after a night together, see each other, feel the same way, then decide to let each other go for that moment?
Overall, 4 stars. I am definitely going to reread this book again. Although it didn’t make it to my top books for 2017, I enjoyed reading it and I can’t wait to read the next book.
