I really want to like this book, but I am very particular with the pace of the storyline. Let me explain using my characters-plot-pace-ending system.
So the characters were interesting – a guy who wants commitment, and a girl who doesn’t. Usually I am drawn to MLs like this, but the FL may be annoying at times. 4 points
The plot is also interesting – friends with benefits until one falls, but it was sort of a cliché. Still, I’m going to give it a 4.
The pace is what made this book hard to rate. I know I was given an ARC, so I already expect some errors in punctuation, and maybe that affected the phrasing, but it’s just too much for me. I find some scenes rushed and not convincing, and the pacing is usually what affects my rating. I wasn’t able to finish the book because I find the pace distracting. Sorry, but pace is a 2.
Overall, it seemed like a good book, but it’s just wasn’t for me. I’ll still recommend it to my friends I know will love it.
