This book is sinfully hot and twisted, so good that I can’t put it down.
(Before that, I want to apologize, because I should’ve read and reviewed this book two months ago but was too busy to do so)
Characters
I like Violet’s character – she’s full sass, strong both physically and mentally. I like that she can keep a calm mind whenever she’s in a tight position, but she’s human (for a fictional character) enough to get involved with Vicente though she can sense that he’s not entirely being truthful.
Vicente – wow, that character is dangerous and hot, but there’s something in him that just pulls you.
The other characters were interesting enough; I didn’t read the blurb, and I didn’t do any research, so I had no idea that the other characters had stories of their own. I would love to read those books.
Plot
I like the plot. There’s a new secret revealed every now and then, and there’s sort of Romeo and Juliet theme going on, although the characters were unaware of it. Julien’s thoughts create doubts because I can never tell if Vicente is aware of his plans, or if he is doing things on his own. I like the mystery and the danger and the romance on the story.
Pace
The pacing of the story is realistic – there’s the connection between the two, and their chemistry doesn’t seemed force.
Ending
When I read the ending I was like, Seriously? You’re going to leave me hanging there? But it was a good cliffhanger, makes the reader anticipate the next book to find out what happened next.
Overall, it is a very good book.I enjoyed reading it and will gladly recommend it to my friends. 5 stars.
