A modern forbidden romance between an athlete and her manager that will make you laugh and believe in second chances.
Character
Parker’s a jerk, no need to tone down on that one. A lot of people wanted to help sober him up but he just keeps on messing up.
Coach knows that to keep her job, she should not, at any cost, hookup with him, but we all know that never ends well.
The characters are interesting, though Parker was kind of frustrating at first, but he managed to make me laugh so that earns him a few points.
Plot
The plot is different than the other sports theme stories I’ve read, though the guys being jerks aren’t new, and there are a lot of interesting scenes here which made the book fun to read.
Pace
I like the pace of the story – there’s this slow buildup of connection between the two, no rush, and everything seems realistic enough.
Ending
That was one of the best and sweetest ending I’ve read. Kudos!
Overall, it’s a really good book. I enjoyed it a lot!
5 stars.
