“No game is worth playing unless you’re playing to win..."
I loved this book!
I have to admit though, there were times that I found the female lead annoying, but I just love player-turned-good boy romance like this one.
The characters were all interesting to read, and I’ll be sure to grab a copy of the other books in the series. They each have their own personalities that all their conversations are entertaining to read. I like Matt especially, not only because he’s hot, but because he can be cheesy sweet when he wants to. I hated Mia for a while though, because I think her playing hard-to-get and being so stubborn was way excessive and unnecessary.
The plot is interesting, and each scene made it hard for me to put down the book. The pace of the story is also commendable – I don’t feel any scenes that seem rushed or unrealistic. For me this book is well-written, each moment made me grin like crazy, and those hot scenes are really HOT.
I love the ending – lesser drama, no undying pledges of love – realistic enough based on the characters’ personalities.
Overall, this is a very good book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in series, and I hope the writing style of the author doesn’t change.
4 stars.
