I’m falling in love with him, and he’s asking me to tell him the one thing that could shatter that to pieces.
This is one of those stories where the two characters have the intense chemistry the first time they met and they decided to act on it. One thing led to another, and it’s only until later they realized they are in too deep to let go.
Characters / Plot
We have all read those alpha billionaire characters who would take you to places you’ve never been at on a whim, or who would solve all your problems at once. And the usual partner of those alpha males would be a girl with a troubled past who is doing everything to move on and hide the past away. This one is no different. There were also hints of the girls past, plus that phone call, so we can all assume the next one would be her past trying to haunt her.
Pace
This is what I liked with the book. Although I am not for those one-night stands IRL, I am all for it on books, especially if the author wrote the scene convincingly enough. For this book you could feel the chemistry between the two; their connection is realistic that makes the rest of the book compelling. This is what makes alpha male books differ from one another despite the character clichés – the author’s way of writing the book.
Ending
Although we could pretty much guess where this is going to be, or what might happen on the next book, I can say I am still pretty much excited for the next one.
Overall, 4 stars.
