I am in love with this book!
I have to admit, I almost gave up reading it because I found the first few chapters messy. There seems to be a lot of narration and deep thoughts going that it was confusing which part was said out loud or not. It seems like a rough first part, until the next chapters came smoothly. Everything became interesting during that phone call where Kline asked Georgie the play-by-play of the game. And while there were parts which still have too much narration, I was too hooked with the story I didn’t mind.
The characters were all very interesting. While I do admire Georgie’s character, I’d like to take this moment to gush over Kline. Wow. That man is too much, in a good way. He’s probably the most down-to-earth billionaire lead I’ve read, one who doesn’t even owe car, and one who doesn’t even show it. Though I like men who can treat you like they’ll give you a star when you asked, I find Kline’s character way sexier.
Even minor characters were interesting. Dean’s character is hilarious, Thatch and Cassie is a couple to watch for, and the parents were all entertaining, even Leslie’s comical. I’d love to read more about them, especially with what’s in store for Thatch and Cassie.
Overall, I had no issues with the story, except for the first part which is a little bit messy for me, but the storyline is just so great that I am addicted to the characters and the plot. There’s a chance I might read it again, starting from the call part.
My heart in your hands and you in my arms, that’s all I’ll ever need.
