Three years ago, I walked before I could dirty up her pristine little world.
But now?
All bets are off.
So as soon as I start reading this 2 things bothered me; one, I can’t figure out why the names were familiar, and two, that ad which they always talk about was never discussed in detail and it was annoying. Then there was a part where Greer said about Creighton’s shotgun wedding and I figured out the first part, but the second part is still a mystery.
Unlike the book about Creighton (I keep on comparing as soon as I found out why it seems familiar), this one seems more realistic when it comes to the pace of the story. There was no rush, no insta-love, just past and present narration of their connection which is pretty much interesting to read.
Next thing that happened seemed too good to be true, being sent to an island for days where they could get to know each other intimately and talk about their issues which never actually happened. Of course, with something like this, we can expect that something big is going to drop. And it did.
The characters were interesting, especially Cav. I like how straightforward he is, like a man with a mission. With that twist in the end, and everything was made clear, it’ll make you wonder what’s going to happen next. I love how it ended in a very intriguing cliffhanger that’s going to make you want to get that next book.
She’s not the girl who got away; she’s the one I walked away from.
Life doesn’t always give us second chances, but this one is mine and I’m taking it.
And her.
