Review: Beautiful Burn (The Maddox Brothers Book #4)
Jamie McGuire - Beautiful Burn (The Maddox Brothers Book #4)
“I’m sorry, Ellie,” he blurted. “I couldn’t help it.”
“Couldn’t help what?”
“I woke up this morning with you in my arms.” He chuckled. “Your fucking hair was everywhere. I had a hell of a time getting it out of your face. Then all the strands were fanned out, framing you from the shoulders up. You looked so peaceful. It just happened.”
I frowned. “What are you talking about?”
His face fell, desperation in his eyes. “I fell in love with you. It’s been coming for a while. I tried not to.”

After reading the first chapter, I realized one thing – I haven’t read this book yet!
Strange, because I am in love with the Maddox boys. I guess it comes down to the female lead again – I don’t think there will be another perfect girl for a Maddox boy like Abby (and America). Maybe I’m just projecting, because the actions and the personalities they portray are the same ones I don’t approve. But I stopped reading it after the night they spent together (back when I first read it). It was too much for me, and I don’t really like reading of girls with too much emotional damage, especially this one who’s just bored with her life.
In the end, it became better. The few moments where they are not fighting, they actually have good chemistry. Plot is great – and Tyler is just awesome.
I’m giving this a 3 because no matter how much I like Tyler and some scenes, I just didn’t like Ellie.
