A hot cop – wow.
If this was written on the blurb, I’d have gotten a copy immediately. Who doesn’t want a hot cop story?
It started out good. There was an instant connection between the two, and Ben is a hot dirty talker. Everything that followed was fun, but I didn’t really like it when Ben was all possessive and spurting words that he changed. I mean, yeah, he did, but it didn’t seem realistic for me – or at least, not right away. Instead of pursuing her for another chance to be with him, he should’ve tried to be a friend first (which he did, eventually).
Them being friends is both naughty and nice, especially with the texts. The kid in the picture made it more fun. The ending doesn’t feel right, though. Right after the love confession they went to the nearest place where they could do the deed, but I felt like the most touching ending would be them driving to Mia’s almost dead mom, just so she can introduce him to her. Oh, well.
Overall, I like the book. I love the characters, including the minor characters because they are also fun to read, the plot is great, and I am definitely going to read the other books in the series.
4 stars
Mia is mine.
And I don’t care if it takes weeks for her to realize it.
Not only am I a greedy bastard when it comes to her, but I’m also determined as hell.
I’ll do anything for her forgiveness. Hell, I’ll do anything for her.
I see my future with her, and I’ll stop at nothing to get her there with me.
